ZZ plant

a low-maintenance and resilient houseplant known for its glossy, dark green foliage and tolerance to neglect

Light:

ZZ plants thrive in low to moderate indirect light conditions, making them perfect for offices, bedrooms, or other spaces with minimal natural light. While they can tolerate low light, they will grow best with bright, indirect light. Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

Watering:

ZZ plants are drought-tolerant and prefer to dry out between waterings. Allow the top inch or two of soil to dry out completely before watering. Water sparingly, as overwatering can lead to root rot. Err on the side of underwatering rather than overwatering, as ZZ plants can survive extended periods of drought.

Soil:

Plant your ZZ plant in well-draining potting soil to prevent waterlogging. A mixture of regular potting soil with perlite or sand works well to provide good drainage and aeration for the roots.

Temperature:

Maintain temperatures between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C) for your ZZ plant. It can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures but should be protected from drafts and cold temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
